As a part of a celebration of 180th anniversary of a great poet, philosopher and enlightener Abai Kunanbayev a poetic competition named «Өлең – сөздің патшасы, сөз сарасы» («Poetry is the king of words, the palace of words. ») was organized. Main goal of the event – popularisation of legacy of Abai, promotion of national spirituality and poetry, and also a support of young poets.

Young poets from across the region took part in the competition. They presented their works on topics dedicated to Abai, spirituality and free theme. The jury judged the works based on how well they explored the theme, the imagery of language, the depth of the content, and poetic skill.

The third place was awarded to Muhamet Tileubay and Nurislam Abdil, Ramazan Bauyrzhanylu placed the second, and Kuanysh Ospan has become the winner of the competition.

The winners were awarded with special certificates and memorable gifts. We wish young poets, who beautified an immortal legacy of Abai by their poetic expressions, inspiration and creative achievements!
