On 18 December 2025 the presentation of the book «Көкшесін асқақтатқан Кәрім еді...» («Karim who made his Kokshe proud…»), dedicated to the life and works of Karim Ilyastegi, journalist, singer, song writer, art critic, lecturer was hosted in the museum of Literature and art.

     The book which was published with the results of research work of museum staff includes articles and works of Karim Esmagulovich, which have been published in various publications over the years, and also his songs lyrics and notes. Besides that, the book includes memorable articles and essays dedicated to the works of arc critic, singer and composer, his life path and public works.

     On the presentation ceremony Zhabal Ergaliev, writer and playwright, and Sabit Zhambek, literary scholar, spoke with delight about humanitarian, public and journalistic qualities of Karim Ilyastegi, especially noting his bright musical talent. Bisara Makenova, honoured actress of Kazakhstan, soulfully performed Karim Esmagulovich’s song – «Көкшетау – Сарыарқаның раушан гүлі» («Kokshetau – the rose of Saryarka»), conquering the hearts of the listeners.

     Dina Beisenvaeva, Acting Head of Culture of the Akmola Region, highly evaluated the work of museum staff and wished them creative success. At the end of the evening descendants and relatives of Karim Ilyastegi thanked gathered and museum administration.
