On 5 February 2026 museum of Literature and art hosted a literary night dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birthday of writer and journalist Zhanaidar Musin. Zhanaidar’s descendants, his colleagues, students and representants of intelligentsia took part in the event.

   Zhanaidar Musin is a native of Kokshetau and a person who dedicated his life to popularizing nature and history of his homeland. As a journalist he worked as a chief editor of «Кокшетау Правдасы» («Kokshetau Truth») newspaper. As a writer he has left behind iconic works such as «Ак алаң» («White square»), «Туған үйдің түтіні» («The smoke of the birthplace »), «Жер шоқтығы Кокшетау» («Kokshetau is the jewel of the land»).

   Veteran of journalism Baltaly Sarsenbayev, who had a speech on the event, spoke about journalistic work and hard work. Literary scholar Ayan Kazhybai presented a report about masterful blending of artistic and historical elements in the works of writer. Summarizing the night, Mukhtar Zhayandaruly Musin thanked museum staff and noted that he is going to continue popularizing the legacy of his father.
